Sobremesa (n., Spanish): the time after a meal is finished — plates cleared, forks down — when no one leaves the table. The conversation that only starts once the eating stops.

That's the whole idea behind a new gathering I'm building: 3.5 days in Northern New Mexico where a small group of 10-15 cooks together, writes, and works through embodied awareness and mindfulness practice — a slowed-way-down story exchange, with a kitchen and a landscape attached.

No exact dates. No exact location. No exact price. No fixed agenda ….yet.

If the idea of cooking your own story into being sounds right to you, I'd love to know.
